About DP500

DP500 is a tilt photography module developed by Feima Robotics based on market demand, designed to adapt to the DJI UAV platform (DJI M300 RTK & DJI M350 RTK), with a pixel count of 126 million. The module features Feima’s self-developed medium-format camera and is equipped with survey-grade lenses. It can achieve 1:500 free control mapping in various complex surveying scenarios such as urban plains and high-altitude mountainous areas. DP500 will provide more options for operations and create more value for customers.

DP500 comes standard with a 640GB large-capacity centralized storage module to meet the demands of long-term operations. When combined with the image copying tool of the Feima Drone Manager Professional Edition, it can achieve a data transfer rate of up to 300MB/s, significantly improving the efficiency of field copying and internal processing. This eliminates the troubles associated with data management.

GCP-FREE Mapping

DP500 adopts customized lens to effectively reduce lens distortion, sub-millisecond time synchronization to ensure the accuracy of POS mark and the mechanical global shutter to reduce the jelly effect. The firmware of DP500 can automatically detect and adapt to the drone model to perform online lever arm correction during the flight exposures. These allow DP500 to easily obtain high-precision surveying and mapping data and achieve image-free mapping.

Real-Time POS Record

DP500 can record real-time RTK high-precision positional information, automatically correct for offset to the camera center, and then automatically write the acquired oblique images. Post-processing does not require cumbersome POS (position) solution, achieving image-controlled mapping effortlessly with simple and efficient operation.

Adjustable Angle

During the structural design of DP500, careful consideration was given to the body tilt generated by the rotorcraft during high-speed movement. It is equipped with an adjustable pitch angle structure ranging from 8° to 24°, which can self-adjust based on the flight speed. This ensures that the camera lens remains perpendicular to the ground, thereby ensuring the quality of data acquisition.
